they have never touched the western market, they dont know how to monetize, marketize and work with this market.
ignorance was always a problem for developers from korea. the western market is totally different to the korean one. and currently it looks for me like they dont know this. (see steam greenlight)
we will see what happens, but i am personally worried.
I'm thinking that maybe they'll launch the game in the west with steam, and after it becomes successful and gets notoriety, regional publishers will probably negotiate with them with more interest. So far, IMCgames seems to be very transparent and willing to take player's opinions into account, so I don't worry too much.
If I have to choose, however, I'd prefer to have a money-hungry company take the game than having no game to play at all because IMC had to retract from western markets because of model incompatibilities or the likes. I just hope that after playing it on steam, if my access is blocked from it by whoever picks up the rights for the game in my country, I'm able to transfer characters and items. One can hope, right?
