True Hype?

Post by Satorichu » July 31st, 2015, 9:59 am

Now that the time has come for the Key Giveaway, my hype levels are quite high.
My chest is tight. I'm nervous. I've been following this game since I got into highschool, that's when I first heard of it's development. I know I'll be crushed if I don't get to be in this CBT. Yeah, I understand this is just the Beta. But I've waited so long.
I'm fairly certain, I'll cry if I get a key and scream the word "Yes" over and over. I love this game and I haven't even got to play it yet. It's just, we've waited so long you guys and now that this Beta stuff is happening for us...it's crazy amazing.
Who else feels this way?

I'm quite chill about it :D The real rush comes when I'm ingame and see all those newbs around fightings and being mind blown of all the beauty around us. The RO1 beta was so beautiful... Though thinking back there really wasn't that much in the game compared to now xD

Well I am more hyped for the actual release of the game, even though that's probably 1-4 months away. I would love to play the CBT though :D

Is the official forums down? I can't seem to load it. But the home page is working.

The forum was working earlier, either it crashed because it has become overloaded by people waking up and hoping they got a key, or they took it down for whatever other reason

I've been checking my gmail and the main page, even though I know I shouldn't be too hyped up because there is a fairly good chance I won't be able to play if I get a key. :C I don't have the required graphics card (i have the 8 gigs of ram but my graphics card is Intel family)

Don't underestimate the power of an INTEL integrated GPU, especially if you can allow it to have 2-4GB VRAM.

I think my vram is only like 1g, but if its cheaper than buying a whole new graphics card... I might see if I can upgrade.

To give you an idea and also keep your hope up, the minimum video card listed for Tree of Savior had 256MB VRAM, you have 4 time this already.

I didn't get in, but trust, my hype was real! I played Ragnarok Online back when I was really little, and it's a large part of me going into game design now! I loved sharing a community with all these cool characters online, actually I have a whole thread about it in the Games section, so I won't say it here.

But I was pumped! I was ecstatic! I was... Well I was very excited. I've also been trying to write articles, blog, and vlog lately, and I think Tree of Savior will be a great jumping off point to start that because it's a game I care about so much to begin with!

My excitement was very real, I wanted to be in the first wave of bloggers in the English community! There aren't many (any) games I would be excited to do that for. My disappointment is also hefty. But in the spirit of "When life gives you lemons, you ignore them" I'm going to blog and vlog about ToS anyway.

Yep, the hype is real. It's not the same old usual hype I feel for most games either. It's an honest to god, interested hype.

I couldn't get into the beta, and the chances of me snagging a key from a fansite or translator is low, but even so I can't wait till the next beta.

I wanna get in, start playing, and finding all the neat little things in the game. I think this is going to revitalize what I've been feeling towards online gaming lately!
