Stamina System

Post by Icystare » September 3rd, 2014, 4:27 pm

I was wondering if you guys have more information about the STA system in ToS, as far I have been told it's tied into the travelling and replenished via large blue crystals wrapped tightly in the Earth's green mandible out in the fields.

Stamina is used for certain skills, e.g. movement for Sorcerer's summon. Some classes also have dashing skills, which may or may not consume stamina. Other than those, it's a classic and straightforward feature.

:?: Hmmmm.... Does that mean that if the stamina runs out, you can no longer play normally not unless you find some stamina crystals around the field? :ag:

I'm pretty sure it will also restore over time and even faster if you rest. Those crystal probably are mainly usefull in combat for instant restore of some stamina (like health globes in Diablo 3).

Nah, it's more like when you're a Knight who just underwent rebirth and lost your Peco Peco, and you're like "These days, walking normally feels more like crawling."

If that's the case with STA that would make sense why the Oracle was able to randomly summon a STA crystal.

I have been trying to figure out that the story behind the crystals are. I heard it was a sad story behind them.

Crystals are probably designed like and hence treated as a monster, just like emperiums, treasure chests and icicles in RO. A couple of other games do this too.
