Skill Simulator released

Post by Flash » February 4th, 2015, 6:16 am

We just released our new Skill Simulator! I've been working on this for the last days / weeks. I think the Skill Simulator is stable enough to be used but please note that this is still some kind of Beta and there might be some bugs in it! If you notice anything that seems wrong to you please tell me so I can look into it :)
The Skill Simulator allows you to select classes and skills. It should include all classes and skills that were available in the first CBT. Some classes are only available for higher Circles of a class!
The skill descriptions are currently only available in korean. We want to translate them so if you want to help us with it just contact me :)

I hope you have fun playing around with those skills here is a little example, a Pyromentalist.

This is great!! Thank you! :kis:

Flash, there are some people translating skills in the wiki, if you want to take a look (go to the class page to see it, but there are some incomplete work), I don't know if it'll help.

@EDIT: can't put link, I don't know why. :/

Never argue with a Noob.... They only bring you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

Would it be ok for you guys to just use google translates "translation" first to fill in the skill info? At least people would get a hint on what some skills do. :hmm:

Yes, we will probably start doing this but doing translations like this isn't very fast either so it'll probably still take some time depending on how much time I have.

description in this format:

Class

Skill Name (offensive, buff/malus, supportive)
[nature of damage] - [type of damage]
"description based on my interpretation of google translate"
[animation optional]

Swordsman
- 1st Circle -

Thrust
[physical] - [piercing]
"strong sword thrust that pushes back enemies (does this really push? It didn't in swamp gameplay)"

Bash
[physical] - [slashing]
"greatly damage your opponent swinging your sword"

GungHo
[buff]
"increase attack power reducing defense (gt says armor but I guess it's defense power)"
[raises a hand in a battle cry, medium light effect, 2 twisting lights appears around the character]

Concentrate
[buff]
"increase attack power (only beta testers can say how this actually works)"
[raises a hand in a battle cry, shy light effect, 2 twisting lights appears around the character]

- 2nd Circle -

Restrain
[buff]
"increase damage output lowering your own maximum HP (in boxe restraining means blocking an opponent arm preventing him to hit)"
[raises a hand in a battle cry, heavy light effect, 2 twisting lights appears around the character]
Highlander
(note that much probably these skills are all bounded to the use of a claymore only)
- 1st Circle -

Wagon Wheel
[physical] - [slashing]
(I had to rearrange the text like this: 무기를 힘껏 올려쳐 적 을날려버 립니다 -> "Draw and blow up enemy, weapons hit as hard")
"swing the weapon (a cleave attack) so hard that opponents are blown away"

Cartar Stroke
[physical] - [impact]
"gather power and smash the ground with your weapon to attack"

Crown

[physical] - [impact]
"whack the opponent head with a blunt strike, temporarily reducing target's intelligence and spirit"

CrossGuard
[block]
"take a defensive stance defending with your weapon (this is an active block that prevents damage)"

- 2nd Circle -

Moulinet
[physical] - [slashing]
"strike a flurry of 5 slashes to frontal opponents (similar to hundred-blades for the warrior in GW2)"
Peltasta
- 1st Circle -

Umbo Blow
[physical] - [impact]
"attack your opponent using the shield, inflicts further damage if performed after a successful block (counterattack)"

Rim Blow
[physical] - [impact]
"strike with the edge of your shield, inflicts further damage if your target is frozen or petrified"

SwashBuckling
[buff]
"hit your shield as if it was a gong, drawing near enemies attention"
[hits twice the shield with sword]

Guardian
[buff]
"reduce the attack power to increase your defense power (not clear how this is going to work though)"

- 2nd Circle -

Shield Lob
[physical] - [impact]
"throw your shield to deal damage in a selected area (this is a targeted aoe)"

more are coming, by the way I've seen elsewere, someone had the translating with google done already, so I'll put some more passion in this

Thanks, I added the descriptions and they are shown in the Skill Sim and the Skill DB.

I created a new thread that should help us coordinating the translation: here
