New Class Advancement System

Post by Jasdemi » August 28th, 2015, 3:40 pm

The last patch in kCBT has changed the class advancement system. Now classes are no longer locked away from you.
I.E If you're Cleric, and decide to go Krivis, in the future you can still become Cleric 2 or Priest.
Time for new builds.

I already asked for some screen to show me how exactly the system works without speculations so I have a solid basis to start working :D

tl;dr :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg: :omg:

Since the iCBT ended, I have been semi active (reading all new information but not getting into discussions and conversations, because time xD) but THIS is so outrageous, that I couldn't resist commenting. Holy Crap that completely overhauls the entire game. I love this update SO freaking much. That's the changes I hoped for after iCBT. Hype +9000

I hate IMC for doing this. Now I don't know which class to make anymore. In the beginning I planned to go the mage route but figured that I can't use the psycho skills and had to give up on elementalist...so I gave up on that tree. I then went to cleric and wanted to go monk but figured that the earlier classes will be hellish to level so I gave up on that as well. Then I thought of archer, mainly for the rogue class but I won't be able to get the fletcher skills for the "drive-by-shooting-esque" type of leveling if I go ranger 3 times. So I decided to just give up on fletcher and went with Archer1, Ranger3, Rogue2 but now...IMC have to drop this shit on us. Now I don't know which class to go with anymore. With my schedule I have the time to write stuff in forum but I certainly won't have the time to make more than 1 character. This is a good thing that IMC decided to implement but... :panic:

Pyro/Cryo/Ele MASTER THY ELEMENTS build approved!

Archer/QuarrelShooter/Sapper Bunker-build enabled!

And now with free-form class-selection I am unsure of my centurion build :heh:

Hmmm~ I hope there would be a way to have a swift-swordsman style build (on foot :P), guess i'll have to wait and see if shinobi and fencer have some nice mobilty tricks. :hmm:

is it working correctly right now? I was under the assumption that if i went swords swords2 hop only swords3 hop2 cataphract rodelero would be available in tier 4. Not all those including highlander peltasta and barbarian since those were not picked in their initial first circle appearance. ugh i really wish i paid attention to the extended beta message. so jelly right now.

The current beta simulator is correct.

You are never locked out of any class now.

Swordies could get both Finestra and Agressor: looks pretty awesome
But Wizards could get more offense skills from pyro & cryo. Looks fun!

For me the decision has become much easier. It will eitther be

Archer (3) - Ranger (3)

or

Archer (3) - Scout - Fletcher (2)
