Re: Doppelsoldner Doubts

I do recommend going through Highlander once, since Doppelsoldner also bases itself on using two-handed swords. Highlander skills can only come in handy later on given how that'll be your main weapon.

Re: New Class Names Discovered Within Database

I'm pretty curious about what Dragoon's gonna be like. Assuming Lancer is hand in hand with it, I'd wager it probably won't be lance-based like they are in Final Fantasy, but you never know.

New Class Names Discovered Within Database

How fascinating. By looking through the list of costumes of the translated item database, I've come across a few gems that, while lacking unique icons, had pretty much settled names and even showed what class branch they belonged to; Lancer (Swordsman) Dragoon (Swordsman) Musketeer (Archer) Panzer (...

Re: Wizard class build

I have several wizard builds planned, actually. Two of the most prominent ones are a debuff-oriented Wizard > Wizard >Wizard > Elementalist > Sorcerer > Sorcerer > Sorcerer, and a mostly supportive Wizard > Wizard > Linker >Linker > Chronomancer > Chronomancer > Chronomancer. I'm really looking forw...

Re: Swordy Builds

I am also fairly skeptical of how reliable weapon swapping will be, considering how so many skills are locked to one weapon. Swordsmen are not made for ranged attacks in general (hell, even Peltasta's shield throw leaves you with the risk of losing the shield if you don't pick it back up), so I real...

Re: Character Creation and Hair Styles

I'm pretty sure that it said somewhere only a few (like 2-4) natural options are available for colors during customization, but that you can find other colors and more hairstyles out in the world. To be honest, none of them really fit what I was looking for :C I wanted an undercut-type style, but d...

Re: Some small stuff, perspective?

While I would genuinely question RO's team's view on ethnicity, they have a mild excuse in the form of their sprite limitations. Making not just one, but several variations of skin colors for their characters would've taken considerable effort, though yet again, that was far from impossible, so the ...

I see-- I guess that's why you also never see anybody but Archers with bows and crossbows.

That clears things up; Thank you!

Re: Some small stuff, perspective?

I would honestly be a little close to outraged if something as basic as my character's hair, eye and skin colors were something I had to invest in with real money. This is 2015; Changing the color of a model or a sprite to something else is a child's play for most games, especially for well-funded, ...

List of website nitpicks!

There's a few little things about the ToSBase website that might be mistaken, broken, or I'll just outright whine about like a brat because I have a slight OCD. This'll be the thread for them! I may even toss in some suggestions too! Please note none of these are complaints or demands to fix the web...

Re: 2nd Day of CBT2

Flash, wouldst thou mind confirming what the rules are on classes and weapons? From what I understand, any class can use any weapon, though obviously some will draw further use from them as most skills are weapon-locked. Is that really possible? I did see your Cleric wearing a wand and sometimes a s...

Re: Official Skills Videos

Anyone know what Melstis skill does? Krivis' 3rd circle skill, looks interesting. :hmm: From what I understand, I believe any party members who remain inside the circle for the duration of it don't lose their buffs. It could be something different, though, but I'm almost completely positive it's re...

Re: CBT2 Tailer

Yeah, that's kind of why I was thinking about Squire. It seems like it would be a really good support class as far as benefits and such go. I was thinking of setting up camps for the guild and such, seems like it would be helpful P: They definitely sound like more than capable leaders or managers f...

Re: CBT2 Tailer

Sweet mother of god, controller support! That makes me so very happy. I'm sure it will gain a lot more followers with that change. That, and at the end, it looks like there is a cooking class. That also will make me happier. I may have to look again. But I'm sure that's cooking. That's Squire! Thei...

Re: CBT2 Tailer

Not sure why it can't be fixed with the bridge, since the model is 3d. If it was pixelated like Ragnarok I'd understand. What's happening is that the character isn't "actually" on the moving platform, like you would be standing in real life. The platform has an invisible "grid" which determines whe...

A fellow lurker as finally come out of the shadows - Welcome to TOSBase (not that you weren't here before or anything.) I'm glad there's someone out there who also dislikes the mouse movements in RO. I-It's not like I already know how half of you people are like or anything. Really though, RO's mov...

Heyyo, everyone!

I finally caved in and made an account here! I don't really expect any of you to know me much, but I'm somewhat of a local intelligence on all things ToS, especially back at the subreddit . I don't mean to brag, but I've spent my several hours gushing over this game and making my research to ensure ...
